Paul Kenny was appointed by Presiding Justice A. Gail Prudenti to the position of Chief Clerk of the Appellate Term, Second Department, effective March 29, 2007. As Chief Clerk, he supervises the non-judicial support staff and oversees the day to day operations of the court. Prior to his appointment to the Appellate Term, Mr. Kenny served as the Deputy Chief Court Attorney for the Kings County Supreme Court. Mr. Kenny was admitted to practice law in 1987. He began his legal career as a Court Attorney in the New York City Criminal Court in the Bronx. From 1988 until 1992 Mr. Kenny was associated with a general practice law firm in Queens, during which time he also served as co-counsel to the New York State Court Officer's Association and was responsible, among other things, for disciplinary and grievance proceedings and the application of the collective bargaining agreement. From 1992 until his appointment as Chief Clerk, Mr. Kenny served in the Kings County Supreme Court, first as a Court Attorney Referee for matrimonial matters and from 1999 as the Deputy Chief Court Attorney. In his capacity as Deputy Chief Court Attorney, Mr. Kenny was responsible for the supervision of the 25 Court Attorneys in the Kings County Supreme Court Law Department as well as its policy development and administrative operations. Mr. Kenny has also served as the Supervising Referee for election matters from 1995 until his appointment to the Appellate Term. In addition to a career devoted to public service, from 1999 to 2001 Mr. Kenny served as the President of the Court Attorneys Association of the City of New York. Since 1992 he has served as an Arbitrator in the Civil Court for the City of New York and since 1996 he has served as a Mediator/Early Neutral Evaluator in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Kenny's legal experience also includes service in his former position as an Instructor of a paralegal studies program at Lehman College in the Bronx and his current position as an Adjunct Associate Professor for the New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn. Paul Kenny lives in Nassau County, residing in Glen Head with his wife, Jeanette Mercedes, Esq., their son Jack and his daughter Kristen.

Susan Jewell Walsh is admitted in New York, New Jersey and several federal jurisdictions. Susan concentrates in criminal defense, including trials and appeals, collateral attacks and habeas corpus petitions, and she tries in state and federal jurisdictions. Susan has tried dozens of jury trials to verdict and has been lead or co-counsel on several published appellate decisions. Her experience as a trial lawyer has enabled her to develop a successful civil litigation practice, representing individuals in civil rights actions, business disputes and fee disputes. Susan received her law degree with honors from George Washington University School of Law in 1996.
